This is a wonderful picture of 27001 pulling the Marylebone to Liverpool express. Circa 1955 entering Guide Bridge. The credits on the picture state she is in her original black livery. I think that may be a B1 in the bay. Please correct me if I’m wrong. Credit A C Petty.
In 1958 the Harwich boat train changed from steam to electric at Guide Bridge, here is 27006 later to become Pandora, waiting the arrival of the steam hauled train from probably Liverpool Central or Manchester Central. Copyright Robin lush
